IDC billing system: from order to renewal, hands-free.
An order state machine drives provisioning, suspension and release. Monthly, yearly, traffic and 95th percentile charges are invoiced every cycle, and overdue services get reminders and are suspended automatically. Connected to Toplink DCIM, payment means provisioning.

From order to provisioning
In CloudFinance every order is driven by a state machine. Once the customer orders and pays, provisioning starts; when a service expires, is suspended or is cancelled, its state changes and the matching action runs automatically.
Connected to Toplink DCIM, the whole chain can be automated:
- The customer chooses a plan in CloudFinance and pays;
- The provisioning module syncs the order to DCIM and matches a free server by the plan’s CPU, memory, disk, IP and bandwidth;
- DCIM assigns IPs, configures the switch port and installs the OS, then hands the server to the customer.
Recurring billing and automatic invoicing
| Billing model | Suited to |
|---|---|
| Monthly, yearly | Dedicated servers, colocation, IP blocks and other fixed resources |
| Traffic billing | Bandwidth products billed on actual traffic |
| 95th percentile billing | Bursty bandwidth billed on peak usage |
Invoices are generated every cycle and can be paid from the account balance automatically. Customers are reminded before the due date and services are suspended when overdue, without anyone chasing payments one by one.
Customers, plans and tickets
- Customer management: accounts can be active, banned or disabled, with groups and two-step verification;
- Plans: define sellable plans as combinations of CPU, memory, disk, IP and bandwidth;
- Tickets: routed to departments on submission, moving through pending, answered, customer reply and closed, with a full history and canned replies you can insert in one click.
Reports
IP usage, customer growth, server status distribution and net sales growth are shown as charts, supporting capacity and business decisions.
Plugins and open API
Payment gateways, identity verification, SMS notifications, cloud resource connectors and the WHMCS connector are all plugins, so you install only what you need. Customers can also request an API key (key and secret) to integrate their own programs.
IDC billing system
Can CloudFinance be used on its own?
Yes. CloudFinance works as a standalone IDC billing system, or connects orders and resources to Toplink DCIM through a dedicated provisioning module.
Which payment methods are supported?
The official plugin marketplace offers Alipay and WeChat Pay gateways, and other payment methods can be added through plugins.
We already use WHMCS. Do we need to switch?
Not necessarily. CloudFinance offers a WHMCS integration plugin, and if you only need to connect data center resources you can use Toplink DCIM's WHMCS module directly.
